Healing Services

What is Energy Healing? A healer after years of training learns to hold their body and being, at a frequency of wholeness to encourage all the parts of you that are out of balance, to align to that frequency. In the same way that light and sound have a frequency and travel. A healer holds this, and moves stuck energy, while your intention to heal meets this, it is a collaboration of sorts.

Healing with Adornment - Fabric

Color & Texture

Colour is used in healing, like Yoga, to brighten and strengthen the energy centers, ( Charkras ) Like the colours of the Rainbow. Each colour is vibrating at a frequency, in healing I use colour to enhance a state of being.

Colour can be used to transform how you feel, enhance your mood and uplift your vibration and thereby your consciousness.

The body is your Temple, your home to take care of, to nourish physically, spiritually, and emotionally. You can adorn, dress and treat your body with loving kindness and appreciation, through the medium of your everyday clothing.

The ritual of dressing your precious body for different occasions can be a mindful practice, colour, texture, weight, feeling, memories items evoke, for each day, event, or circumstance to be sacred, it can bring you into deeper relationship with yourself, and then others.

Tantra means to weave, and a Sutra means Key. Here I weave the healing practices of Self Love in Yoga, with Healing and the Ritual of Adornment.

The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali: Yoga Ethics.

Yoga Ethics: Sutra according to my teacher Sutra means key, and unlocks understanding. These are the Ethics or principles of Yoga, the Yamas and Niyamas, the Yamas are our outward relationships attitudes and behaviours. The Niyamas are the behaviours and attitudes in relationship to ourselves.

Silhouette and Form: Afrocentric Kimonos focus on how dancers move. Cloudia looked at the practical Kimono and its easy to wear ‘one size fits all’ model for this collection. She looked at structures and how square shapes (Kimono blocs) mould on to round shapes (human form).

Prints Designs: Having found that Kimonos have symbolic elements and meanings behind them, she researched West African wax block prints and found that a number of them had names and meanings, such as ‘Ama Serwa’ (a small hot pepper); ‘Men Are Not Pillows’ and ‘You can't get good taste from the back of your hand’.

Cultures: These are most accessed through food, music, and clothing styles, researched the fabrics as she looked at culture, tradition and behaviour, settling on food as a universal language. On this occasion trendy street foods of Accra are used to communicate these in these Afropolitan Fashion garments.
